Liam R. Marchant Aaron Gibson displays a beautiful talent of both musical technicality and ingenuity as well as his delicate yet moving lyrics. His bass playing emulates a guitar at times, yet also gives a new sound and feel to the bass... making it sound like a solo instrument, which we all know is very uncommon. Aaron shatters the stereotypes of what a "bass line" should sound like and applies this to his poetry. "See The World" is a wonderful example of this.

about

"See The World" is song number two in Aaron's "Demo" series. The demos are going to be produced and formed into an album later in 2014. The goal is to present these songs the way they were written, just solo bass and vocals. Gibson's last solo bass record "Loose Ends" was entirely solo bass and vocal, and it was well received by fans and critics.

lyrics

See The World

and I want to settle down
an apartment in a town
away from streams and falling trees
we can go eat Japanese

and I want you to fly a plane
we’ll ascend on through the rain
I will say I love you and jump out
and my body will survive
…if my parachute comes out

lets go see the world
I’m needing out, and
let’s go see the world….
till our pockets are turned out

and I want to grab my board
surf the barrels of north shore
but I would just get pummeled in that wave
getting worked in the sand with my face
and there'd be nothin left to save

lets go see the world
I’m needing out, and
let’s go see the world….
lets go see the world
we’ll just mess about
lets go see the world
till our pockets are turned out
soooooo whoooa what’s stopping us
soooooo whoooa what’s stopping us
Sooo I can see
that you’ll wander with me…..
lets go see the world
I’m needing out, and
let’s go see the world….
till our pockets are turned out
till our pockets are turned out

and I’d like to join a band
play in cities if I can
with people holding candles in the cold
dancing silhouettes under the moon
but I can’t now I am old
