about

"An Inspiration"
"A new side of bass guitar that's rarely been explored by anyone"
"Awesome, pure and sincere mood and swing, what a great thing!"
(A few comments from the first listeners to Peace, the first song to drop from Loose Ends.)

Why put out a solo bass album?
Most shining stars in the world of bass players have a bit of bling. Bright sounding, extended range instruments played through loopers, effects and all kids of creative signal processing. Many of the players are phenomenal musicians, exceptional songsmiths and good people too, the problem for me is that they are already doing what they are doing, I did not want to try to compete with players who far surpass me in terms of skill and technique. And, again, those other solo bass records have already been made. I wanted to take a picture of me as an artist at this moment in time, a snap shot of my songs as they are. I wanted to capture songs with raw emotional value. I wanted to show you the truth about what a four string sounds like when you walk into a music store and pick one up, as apposed to what it sounds like when you have refined it to perfection.
So here you have it, bass, vocals and tube amp.
